BPDPKS Monitoring Team Evaluates Scholarship Program
The Indonesia Oil Palm Plantation Management Agency (BPDPKS) visited Stiper Agricultural Institute (Instiper) Yogyakarta and LPP Yogyakarta to monitor and evaluate implementation of its scholarship program.
The Indonesia Oil Palm Plantation Management Agency (BPDPKS) visited Stiper Agricultural Institute (Instiper) Yogyakarta and LPP Yogyakarta to monitor and evaluate implementation of its scholarship program. This monitoring and evaluation were performed by Committee of Audit and Internal Audit Unit of BPDPKS from 21 to 23 February 2019. This offfical examination had the presence of several officials from BPDPKS, included Chairman of Committee of Audit BPDPKS Loso Judianto, Head of Internal Audit Unit of BPDPKS Triana M, Head of BPDPKS’ Training Division Prayuda, as well as Head of BPDPKS’ Compliance Division Sidik Haryadi. This examination was aimed to determine if the outputs, deliveries and schedules planned have been reached and has achieved its aims and objectives. BPDPKS scholarship program is a grant provided by BPDPKS to support children of oil palm smallholders and workers to go to college or universities in cities across Indonesia. Currently, this financial aid is awarded for students to further their education for diploma degree at vocational colleges, including in Instiper and LPP Yogyakarta. The scholarship program is deemed necessary to create a new generation of talent in oil palm plantation. After successfully completing their diploma degree, they are expected and encouraged to contribute to development of sustainable palm oil in Indonesia. ***
