BPDPKS Explains Sustainable Palm Oil at Climate Conference COP24

The Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) delivered presentation about sustainable palm oil at climate change conference COP24 in Katowice, Poland, Friday (7/12/2018). Presiden Director of BPDPKS Dono Boestami spoke to the audiences at a “The Contribution of Good Agricultural Practicies to SDGs”-themed session in Indonesia Pavilion. Speakers at the session included Secretary General Indonesian Palm Oil Association Togar Sitanggang, Director of Climate Change Information Centre of Indonesian Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency Dodo Gunawan, and CEO su-re.co (Sustainability and Resilience) Takeshi Takama. COP24 is the informal name for the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. At this conference, delegation from Indonesia reaffirmed the country’s position in international negotiation on climate change. The delegates also spoke about the country’s contribution in achieving SDGs, included on sustainable environment aspect. Of biodiesel 20 percent (B20) mandatory program, they took advantage of this conference to explain the program as a commitment to reduce carbon emission. ***
