Progress Has Been Made in B20 Supply Chain Management

The government has made gradually progress on B20 distribution despite of problem in vessels availability. Since the expanded B20 mandatory program introduced on 1 September 2018, some progress have been made even tough in some cases fuel terminals doesn’t receive FAME supply on time. Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Rida Mulyana acknowledged the problem, but somehow he has been reported that in general B20 distribution is getting better. “The progress is satisfactory, supply chain management is far better now,” Rida said after attending expanded B20 mandatory evaluation meeting in Ministry of Coordinating Economy office (4/101/2018). President Director of the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) Dono Boestami also said that he witnessed remarkable progress. Moreover, for last month delivery, the target has been achieved. “We didn’t encounter big obstacles along the process as this program is actually not new because B20 has been used in Public Service Obligation (PSO) sector for the last 2,5 years. The target has been achieved as well,” Dono said. Meanwhile, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto revealed that in the meeting all fuel and biofuel companies reported regular updates on B20 distribution. “We received reports concerning B20 distribution, including operating process, vessels, and so on. Those were all about logistics that have to be handled directly by the companies, both fuel companies and biofuel companies,” he said. ***
