Ministry of Industry revealed that the use of B20 on vehicles has been tested by many institutions long before the government implementd expanded B20 program on 1 September 2018. It found that B20 is acceptable and safe for vehicles. One of the assessment was conducted in Japan in 2016 by Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA). It also found that B20 is acceptable for vehicles. `It had tested in Japan and JAMA concluded that vehicles can use B20. They concluded by one statement, it is acceptable,” Director of Maritime Industry, Means of Transportation, and Defence Equipment of Ministry of Industry Putu Juli Ardika said as quoted by detikfinance (30/08/2018). According to Putu, B20 has also good chemical substances that will do no harm to machines. One of the added value is that B20 has more octane content that fossil fuel. A part from that, it has no sulfur content and heavy metal residue. “Chemical substances in B20 is quite good as JAMA also concluded that it won’t do any harm to machines,” Putu said. ***
