BPDPKS Gets Two New Directors

JAKARTA- Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has just appointed two new directors of the Indonesia Oil Palm Plantations Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), Thursday (3/10/2019), hoping that they could restore Indonesian palm oil’s reputation in the world. Two new BPDPKS’ directors are Kabul Wijayanto as Director of Planning and Fund Management; and Sunari as Director of Fund Collection.

JAKARTA- Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has just appointed two new directors of the Indonesia Oil Palm Plantations Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), Thursday (3/10/2019), hoping that they could restore Indonesian palm oil’s reputation in the world. Two new BPDPKS’ directors are Kabul Wijayanto as Director of Planning and Fund Management; and Sunari as Director of Fund Collection. At the same time, Sri Mulyani also appointed Suminto as Expert Staff of Finance Minister for Macro Economic and International Finance Affairs. The Finance Minister highlighted the important role of BPDPKS to restore palm oil’s reputation. The two new directors are expected to work and create strategic palm oil fund management planning so that the fund can bring more benefits. “We need to support palm oil industry to gain better reputation on the global stage and to be accepted as an economic activity that impact positively to social and economic aspects,” Sri Mulyani said on press release. `` Speaking to Suminto, Sri Mulyani laid stress that domestic economy condition is in a good shape amid pressure global condition that is under pressure. At international level, Indonesia is also considered as an influential country. “In that case, I hope Suminto accepts this job and not to consider it as a business as usual.  The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is giving chance for us to be an observer. Now, we want to play bigger part, not only as a member as we previously might be,” Sri Mulyani added. Sri Mulyani also expected that they could help Indonesia to take important roles on the global stage. “I hope we can improve Indonesia’s voice and position on the global stage to share ideas in tryin to achieve a fair and sustainable world’s economic order.” ***
