Palm Oil Supplies Adequate to Develop B100
Current national palm oil supplies is believed to be adequate to meet biofuel demand, including to develop biodiesel 100% (B100). “We don’t stop in B20, the government’s plan to implement biodiesel 100% may be reached with the support of palm oil production,” Dedi Junaidi, Director Crop Production and Sales, Agriculture Ministry in Pekanbaru, Riau, Tuesday (23/10/2018) as reported by RRI. In a couples of years to come, Dedi said, palm oil production may increase as replanting of old trees is underway.

Based on data released by the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (Gapki), Indonesian palm oil production has increased 24% in the first quarter of 2018 from 8,4 million tons in the same period of 2017 to 10,41 million tons in 2018. Currently, biofuel producers, associated with Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi), operate 20 biodiesel plants that produces 2,6 million kiloliters per year with capacity of 12 million kiloliters per year. ***
