Trade Expo Indonesia 2018 to Promote Palm Oil
TRADE Ministry will hold Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2018 on 24-28 October 2018 to promote Indonesian trade commodities, including palm oil product and its derivatives. The event initiated by Trade Ministry and sponsored by the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang, Banten.

The event initiated by Trade Ministry and sponsored by the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang, Banten. It is estimated about 28 thousand visitors will attend the event.
“We intend to declare that Indonesia is a producer of competitive palm oil and would like to strengthen cooperation in doing business of the products in global trade arena,” Director General of National Export Development at Trade Ministry Arlinda Imbang Jaya said at ICE BSD, Wednesday (19/9/2018) as quoted by Kumparan.
Director of Partnership of BPDPKS Tulus Budhianto said the TEI 2018 is expected to create a positive image about Indonesian palm oil products in global arena. This is important to counter black campaigns emerged in several countries, especially in European Union countries.
“A part from being an promotional event, TEI 2018 is expected to inform public and businesspeople that Indonesian palm oil products are sustainable and environtmentally friendly. They are very competitive products,” Tulus said.
At the last TEI 2017, palm oil transaction reached US$69,58 million, or the fifth highest transaction after coal US$1,41 billion, coffee US$91,62 million, essential oil US$80,43 million and also foods and beverages US$78,61 million. ***
