JAKARTA-- Use of fuel with 20 percent biodiesel content (B2) in Indonesia is projected to reach 1.6 million tons by the end of this year.

Chairman of Indonesian Palm Oil Board (DMSI) Derom Bangun said the projection is measured assuming diesel consumption a year reach 33 million kiloliters with the addition of B20.

"B20 has been implemented from 1 September and will be four months up to December so that the volume will reach 1.6 million tons,” Derom said in Jakarta, Sunday (12/11/2018) as quoted by Kontan.

He said, use of diesel in a year reach 33 million kL added with B20 use, the volume will reach 6,6 million kL. If it is divided for a year, it will be around 550.000 kL per month, assuming the use of B20 has been 100% in all sectors. However,  implementation of B20 has currently reach 85%. IT projected that monthly use of B20 will reach 400.000 tons to 480.000 ton. ***
