Oil Palm plantation remains the mainstay business for PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Holding. Around 800 thousand hectares of 1.1 million hectares of land owned by this State-owned enterprise are oil palm plantations. “Oil palm plantations are still the largest plantation we have. Around 800 thousand hectares of 1.1 million hectares are oil palm plantations,” Finance Director of PTPN III (Persero) Holding K Santosa said as he talked with the press in Jambi, Thursday (16/8/2018), as reported by Kompas.com. According to him, oil palm is almost 60 percent of all businesses run by PTPN III. The others are sugar cane and also rubber that is not too significant in number.
