Indonesia Needs the Netherlands Support on Palm Oil

THE Government of Indonesia is working hard to fight against black campaign on palm oil. For that reason, Indonesia has called the Netherlands to jointly fight them.

The Netherlands is one of a few countries in Europe that against such black campaigns. The Netherlands and Indonesia have agreed to work together to promote sustainable production of and trade in palm oil.

“As a CPO importer, there are many CPO’s stakeholders in the Netherlands because our palm oil are re-exported to other countries from Netherlands. We need support to promote our products,” said Director Europe 1 Affairs at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dino Kusnadi in Jakarta, (28/6/2018).

Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi is arranged to discuss it later with Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok as he visit Jakarta on 3 July 2018. A part from that, Malaysia and Indonesia are building on already strong bilateral ties to fight against black campaign on palm oil.

President Joko Widodo and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad will meet in Bogor to discuss it. Indonesia together with Malaysia are largest palm oil producing countries in the world. Any kind of black campaigns to palm oil will jeopardise the livelihood of people in the country. *** (Metro TV News)
