In order to push development on palm oil sustainability, based on Presidential Decree No. 61 Year 2015 about Collection and Use of Palm Oil Plantation Funds, the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) is assigned to organize, administer, manage, store and distribute palm oil plantation funds.
One of allocation of the funds is to donor oil palm research and development. Therefore, BPDPKS organize Palm oil research grant program in 2018, in order to improve science and technology which can encourage strengthening national palm oil plantation and industry that have added value, competitive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly.
For 2018, BPDPKS organize a program called `Call for Proposal 2018`. Within submission period till 14 March 2018, recorded as much 347 research and development proposal from various researcher. The proposal will be judge by Research and Development Committee that appointed by BPDPKS.
From the assessment, BPDPKS declare that only 50 proposal managed to pass the selection, namely as follows:
