JAKARTA— Several biofuel producers in Indonesia donated hazardous materials (Hazmat) suits and sanitation equipment in an effort to ensure safety of fuels distribution crews during COVID-19 outbreak.
Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi) donated 1.000 hazmat suits, 200 face shield, and 30 units handwashers to PT Pertamina. The donations were given by Aprobi Chairman MP Tumanggor and accepted by Logistic, Supply Chain, and Infrastructure Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Mulyono at Pertamina’s Integrated Fuels Terminal at Plumpang, Jakarta, Monday (4/5/2020).
“The donations were part of the Aprobi Peduli program launched on March 2020. We intend to help Pertamina to ensure safety of fuels distribution during COVID-19 outbreak,” Tumagor said.
He added that protective attire was more essential now than ever during COVID-19 outbreak to be used by crews during loading and unloading operations, fuels distribution, and public services activities. As FAME (biodiesel) producers, Aprobi deemed necessary to provide support for Pertamina. “We support President Jokowi administration effort against the virus,” Tumagor added. *** (Source: Warta Ekonomi)
