Shell Indonesia Ready to Implement B20 Mandatory
Shell Indonesia stands ready to implement the expanded B20 program that will start 1 September 2018. This subsidiary of petroleum giant Royal Dutch Shell is ready to support the government`s new policy that makes it mandatory for biodiesel to have a bio-content of  20 percent. External Relations of Shell Indonesia Dina Setianto said the firm now had 20 percent biodiesel in its diesel fuel. `Shell supports the government`s new policy. Shell Diesel sold in our gas station fully meet the mandatory requirement,” Dina said to Kontan.co.id. Recently, Shell has already changed Shell Diesel brand to Shell Diesel Bio as a part of its attempt to implement the policy. Shell Diesel Bio has a bio-content of 20 percent as required by the Government. Meanwhile, the state-owned energy giant PT Pertamina (persero) said that the company has been providing B20 for a long time. However, for industrial needs, Pertamina will need additional facilities in some fuel storage to support government’s policy. “For industrial sector, we need additional facilities and accessories to implement expanded B20 program. Biodiesel producers will provide them,” VP Corporate Communication Pertamina Adiatma Sardjito said. ***
