Palm Oil Products Books Third Highest Transaction in TEI 2018
PALM oil products has booked third highest in trade contract in Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2018 convened at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang on 24-28 Oktober 2018. Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita revealed that the final transaction on palm oil products has reached US$132,5 million.

Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita revealed that the final transaction on palm oil products has reached US$132,5 million. It was the third most wished for products after processed foods that has booked US$434,51 million and chemical products of US$143,36 million. The last two most wished for products were fisheries that has booked US$64,45 million and paper products of US$54,71 million.
In total, transaction value has reached US$8,49 billion that is equal to Rp127,33 trillion, which was five times higher from the target of US$1,5 billion. `Initially, it is targeted to reach US$1,5 billion. However, we could reach US$8,49 billion in trade contract, almost US$8,5 billion,` Enggartiasto said in a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (9/11/2018).
The transaction value consists of goods which has booked US$1,456 billion, services of US$1,31 billion, investment of US$5,55 billion, and tourism transaction that has booked US$170,5 million.
Saudi Arabia was the country with highest transaction with total value of US$417,19 million, Japan of US$142,75 million, UK of US$118,45 million, India of US$98,39 million and Egypt spent US$80,46 million.
On visitors side, the venue recorded 33,333 visitors from 132 countries, higher 16,9% than previous year of 27.711 visitors from 117 countries. ***
