PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) remarked that all Mercedez-Benz trucks and buses marketed in Indonesia are ready to use biodiesel B20. Daimler also fully supports government policy to make it mandatory for biodiesel to have bio-content of 20 percent. “On commercial vehicle business lines, we have committed ourselves to implementing the government policy by assembling Mercedes-Benz 911, locally known as Mercy Bagong. Today, 5 September 2018, we have reaffirmed our commitment by implementing B20 on Mercedez-Benz trucks and buses,” President Director and CEO DCVI Markus Villinger said the press release (5/9/2018). Villinger also said that DCVI is actively participating in enhancing energy resilience and emissions reduction for better air quality in Indonesia. The use of biodiesel will also bring an advantage for the country to reduce imported fuel, especially in current economic condition where fuel price is increasing. “Mercedez-Benz trucks and buses are produces to be compliant with the Euro 3 emissions standard. DCVI confidently announced that Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses are ready to implement the new Government’s policy regarding the fuel,` he said. ***
