Hino Ensures B20 Safe for Machines

PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) ensured that Hino machines are ready to use biodiesel fuel B20. The test results showed that the use of B20 does not cause problems to Hino engine.
Director of sales and promotions of PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) Santiko Wardoyo convinced that the test was satisfactory. “The common rail test on Hino was very satisfactory. It proves that the use of B20 didn’t cause any technical problems to machines,” Santiko said in Semarang, Thursday (20/9/2018) as quoted by Kompas.
According to him, three years before the Government imposes the expanded B20 mandatory program, Hino has tested B20 on their machines. The test was conducted using common rail technology, with engine bench test method.
Other than that, Hino machines has been equipped with special components to adapt to B20, including parts of the fuel tank which is coated by Chrome and Stannum-Zync to prevent corrosion. ***
