PT Freeport Indonesia is attempting to use B20 on its mining vehicles that operates in high location with extreme temperature. Freeport is the only mining company that is given relaxation no to use  B20 temporary due to technical conditions. Director General for New Renewable Energy and  Energy Conservation Rida Mulyana said that he has visited Freeport mining site to see the condition. According to him, some engines expert are exploring any possibility and scenario. Freeport’s mining site is located in high mountainous area with so extreme temperature that B20 cannot be used. “They are going to hold another meeting to make decision. They are yet to decide on which vehicles will operate on lower ground area and which are on higher area,” Rida said in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/10/2018) as quoted by Sindonews. The plan visit by a team of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was aimed to map the number of fuels they need. The map is needed to decide storage tanks location as well as to know how many vehicles they will operate on higher and lower area.  ***
