Govt Confident Pertamina to Attain B20 Target by End of Year

The government is confident that PT Pertamina (Persero) is able to complete its part in implementing the government’s extended B20 mandatory program by the end of the year. So far, Pertamina has completed 80 percent of current target to use Fatty Acid Methyl Eter (FAME) as mixture to diesel fuel. “As far as we monitored, Pertamina has completed 80 percent of current target. I am confident it can be completed by the end of the year,” Director General Oil and Gas at Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Djoko Siswanto in Jakarta, Sunday (16/9/2018) as reported by Liputan 6. Djoko went to fuel terminal of Kabil in Batam Province to see the mixing process. “I’m hoping Pertamina do its part earnestly so that this program can succeed and able to cut diesel import which could save foreign exchange reserves.” According to Pertamina’s Director of Logistic, Supply Chain & Infrastructure Gandhi Sriwidodo, as for period of Januari to 14 September 2018, Pertamina had used 1,8 million kiloliters FAME to mix into diesel fuel or 80 percent of current target of 2,265 million kiloliters. “We are obligated to carry out government’s programs. This momentum should be a trigger for other businesses to speed up their works in implementing expanded B20 program,” Gandhi said. ***
