Biofuel Producers Support COVID-19 Relief Effort

Indonesian biofuel producers have shown support for their communities during COVID-19 crisis, by donating meal packages to those in need. Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi) in collaboration with Polda Metro Jaya (Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters) will distribute meal packages during Ramadan month.

JAKARTA—Indonesian biofuel producers have shown support for their communities during COVID-19 crisis, by donating meal packages to those in need. Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi) in collaboration with Polda Metro Jaya (Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters) will distribute meal packages during Ramadan month.

Aprobi Chairman MP Tumagor said 100 meal packages will be distributed to people who are fasting and those in need. “We hope people who receive the packages are everyone in need, such people who lost jobs and who don’t have income,” Tumagor said di Jakarta, Saturday (25/4/2020).

Aprobi Cochairperson Paulus Tjakrawan added that Aprobi was trying its best to support the community, especially to those on the front line of this COVID-19 crisis. Earlier, Aprobi also donated vitamins to orphans in Jakarta.

Apart from providing meal packages, Aprobi will also donate hand-washing units made by micro small and medium firms. Aprobi will also provide ventilators made by local producers to be distributed to hospitals. “It is also to help the firms that are hit by COVID-19 crisis,” Paulus said. *** (Source: Kontan)
