Toyota and Fuso Trucks Ready to Use B20

PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) and PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) reassured users that their vehicles are ready and safe to use biodiesel B20. Vice President Director PT TAM Henry Tanoto stated that Toyota vehicles are ready for B20 as long as the fuel is compliant with B20 standard. “There won`t be any problem as long as the fuel is compliant with B20 standard,” Henry said at the Toyota Jamboree 2018 in Jakarta, (8/9/2018) as reported by Tempo.co. He also said that Toyota stands ready to support the Government`s policy to make it mandatory for biodiesel to have a bio-content of 20 percent. “We have no problem to implement the policy. We support the Government’s program,” Henry said. Meanwhile, Sales and Marketing Director of PT KTB Duljatmono said that Mitsubishi Fuso trucks manufactured in 2016 and later are ready to use B20. In 2016, Mitsubishi has modified Fuso trucks assembled in Indonesia by installing double filters so that the trucks are ready to use B20. For trucks manufactured before 2016, Duljatmono reassured the owner not to worry to use B20 because the trucks are easy to adjust, only by installing addition fuel filter. “We provide the spare parts. We can easily install it ourselves,” he said. ***
