Rokan Hilir to Build Another Palm Oil Mill

Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau, soon will have a newly palm oil mill which could streamline palm oil processing from local farmers. The mill, which will be operated by PT Sindora Seraya, is located in Kepenghuluan Lenggadai Hilir Village, Rimba Melintang sub-district, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau. Groundbreaking and construction began on Thursday (5/7/2018). “Building a palm oil mill today means opening a new job opportunity, Regional Government together with Regional Representative Council (DPRD) give an appreciation to PT Sindora Seraya for this strategic plan,” said Chairman of Rokan Hilir Regional House (DPRD), Nasrudin Hasan as reported by AntaraRiau. According to him, people will gain benefits from that factory. “Where there is a palm oil mill, there must be an added value for people around,” he said. Head of Rimba Melintang sub-district, Burhanuddin appreciates the presence of the mill because it is in line with local governments policy to create job opportunities. “The presence of the mill will certainly open job market. This is what we expect,” said Burhanuddin. According to Roy Chandra from PT Sindora Seraya, palm oil mill project is expected to be completed within one year. First production is planned to be done as soon as the factory is completed. ***
