Govt and Brand Agent Back Transportation Operators to Use B20

THE Government and automotive Brand-Holder Agents (APM) are fully backing transportation operators to use biodiesel B20 by providing warranty. The warranty covers vehicles maintenance, availability of spare parts, exception for vehicles manufactured under 2016, and support to rejuvenate fleets. `We`ve met Organda, truck associations, as well as logistics association. Mostly, we talked about the four points warranty,” Director General Land Transportation of Ministry of Transportation Budi Setiyadi said in Jakarta (14/9/2018) as quoted by OkezoneFinance. Budi’s statement came as he explained about agreement between government, APM, and transportation operators concerning mandatory use of B20 starting from 1 September 2018. The agreement signed on 7 September 2018 by Organization of Land Transportation Owners (Organda), Indonesian Trucking Association (Aptrindo), Indonesian Forwarders Association (ALFI), The Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Isuzu Astra Motor, IVECO, Mercedes Benz, HINO Motor, and Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian. “Transportation business sustainability depends on government’s and APM’s commitment. APM has reaffirmed their commitment to support government policy on the use of B20, even provided written warranty,” General Secretary of Organda Ateng Aryono said. ***
